POSITION SUMMARY As a Host you will be responsible for greeting all guests, maintaining a seating chart and correctly seating guests according to seat availability and server section.
This role serves to create the initial guest experience and seat guests in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following Greet all guests as they enter and exit the restaurant facility.
Run floor plan board.
Take guest information and quote accurate wait times when tables are not immediately available.
Coordinate with waitstaff for available seating options.
Escort guests to assigned dining/seating area.
Distribute menus to the guests and announce the designated waiter/waitresses name.
Manage reservations and consider them when seating walk-in customers.
Collaborate with waitstaff to ensure that customer water glasses are full as well as notify waitstaff of low specialty drink items.
Clean, organize and stock menus at host area.
Perform cleaning side work; ensures that the dining room is a clean and neat area for guests.
Answer incoming calls and address customer's queries and take order's when necessary.
Comply with established sanitation standards, safety, personal hygiene and health standards.
Perform closing activities such as cleaning chairs and tables, stacking chairs, preparing stations for morning shift.
Complete all service paperwork as required.
Maintain a clean and neat appearance; comply with company dress policy.
Assist waitstaff when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Ability to read and comprehend labels, directions, menus, safety documents, and other work-related documents.
Ability to work independently with little supervision required.
Ability to remain calm while working under pressure in a busy environment.
